ソクラテスセミナー合同同窓会を開催しました

5月29日(水)にアクセンチュア・イノベーション・ハブ東京にて、ソクラテスセミナーの合同同窓会を初めて開催しました。
日本アスペン研究所ではこれまで、「小林陽太郎奨学金」の対象プログラムとして2017年から日本国内で4回のソクラテスセミナーを行い、米国、メキシコ、スペイン、フランス、ルーマニア、コロンビアなど海外で行うセミナーにも日本人参加者を派遣してきました。
今回、その4割にあたる約30名の卒業生が一堂に会し、参加したセミナーの枠を超えて交流を深めました。
また、同窓会を発案したコーデル・カーター氏（米国アスペン研究所、ソクラテス・プログラム・ディレクター）も来日。カーター氏のメッセージを以下に掲載します。
Good day everyone,
The Kobayashi Memorial Scholarship Fund honors the legacy of Mr. Tony Kobayashi, a former president of Fuji Xerox and founder of Aspen Institute Japan. He was an outstanding global leader, well-regraded all over the world.
Since 2017, nearly 70 Japanese leaders have participated in 4 Socrates seminars in Japan and over 10 Socrates seminars in the USA and in Colombia, Ukraine, Spain, Mexico and France.
The Kobayashi Scholars have added great diversity and intellect to the Socrates seminars and are now considered a necessary component for a successful, global seminar.
I would like to thank everyone for coming to last night’s first alumni event. It is my hope that you all form one alumni organization for you will be a stronger, more robust group of leaders with one group.
I also would like to refer you all to an ancient proverb: “To whom much is given, much is required.” You all were selected by the Kobayashi Memorial Scholarship to receive an amazing experience, now it is time for you all to give back to the Kobayashi Fund so that other Japanese leaders may receive the same experience as yourselves and continue to uplift Mr. Kobayashi’s legacy.
Please do consider giving an annual gift to the Kobayashi Fund. Also, please think of five people that would benefit from Aspen Institute Japan seminars and send their names and emails to Elina Akiyama.
